Leena Pinomaa works with precious natural materials, mostly linen, which she weaves by hand on a century old loom in her atelier in Zurich. She designs tea cloths, cushions, towels, table cloths and more.
The natural shine of linen adds a special character to all products and gives them a nicely structured texture.
The cultivation and production of linen is sustainable and ecological, with no artificial irrigation needed as rain water is sufficient, and no fertiliser. In her work, Leena Pinomaa uses Swiss, Swedish and Finnish linen.
